This project will engage the public by demonstrating how to utilize various techniques used in customizing toys. Several local artists will each lead a small group for specialized hands on instruction. The completed works will be the featured exhibition displayed at the following local art walk.
The funding for this project will focus on ensuring there is no cost to the participants. 50% of the funding will go towards purchasing a variety of customizable toys to be used during the day long event. 40% will be used to purchase a number of different supplies, including paint, adhesives, markers, cleaning supplies, and craft materials. The remaining 10% will go towards food and refreshments. Due to the generous donation and excitement surrounding this project, the venues and artist’s times have been donated in the efforts of promoting high attendance and community spirit. As a result, we expect to accommodate upwards of 300 soon to be artists.
