This Holiday Season, Service Coordination's "Artists with Abilities" contest will empower community members with developmental and intellectual disabilities by providing the opportunity to create, print and showcase their original greeting card artwork with the public.
More than 13,000 community members with developmental or intellectual disabilities will be invited to create a work of art in the form of a greeting card for the “Artists with Abilities” contest. The $5,000 grant will fund this project by providing small art kits to individuals without the access or means to otherwise create art, as well as cover costs to print and distribute the final winning entries. Winning selections will feature submitted artwork to then be printed as holiday cards and mailed to community supporters, local leaders, media and more to help raise awareness for all community members in need of resource assistance. Most importantly, the $5,000 will provide the opportunity for all persons to create public works of art
