Overview of Idea
Old Town Artisan Studio is a non-profit healing arts program. We would love to bring back CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) for abused foster care children. These children get shuffled around from one home to another & rarely have a sense of direction. OTAS will work hand in hand w/ CASA...
The Specifics: What will the $5,000 fund?
We will do what we know best! Healing and nurturing through art~
The foster kids that come to OTAS have the option of putting either their hands or footprints into clay memories, as well as other clay products. (please see video)
Their “footprints” are a unique way to remind them of how to walk in life…They have a choice to “step” into a brighter future if they so choose.
Every time they see one of their unique gifts that they make though the OTAS program, they will be reminded that there are GOOD people out there who wish for them to succeed through these times of despair…
We thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity….
