Overview of Idea

Connect an international public artist, who uses monuments as canvases, with recent war veterans and their families. Develop their public speaking skills. Record them. Project their voices and gestures in a major NYC park to provide them with a secure platform to open up dialogue with the public.

The Specifics: What will the $5,000 fund?

$5,000 would be a portion of the funds required for this project which could support the following expenses:

Compensation:
- Participant Honorarium (because some veterans are out of work and we know how important their time is to our project)

Production Costs:
- Studio Space (soundproof space for recording & privacy)
- Equipment (High resolution video camera, lighting, sound mixing)
- Installation (On site set up and storage equipment, technicians)

Supplementary Material:
- Brochures (to further inform the general public about the project and its goals)
