The Art & Justice League will provide after school arts programing for refugee kids in Denver. Arts programing will focus on instilling hope for the future by providing a creative after school haven for kids to create, learn, and most important...Have Fun!
Denver is a major port city for refugee families. There are at least 10 countries represented by refugee communities in Denver. The top three are Somalia, Myanmar, and Nepal. These groups have suffered through great trials and forced to flee their country due to persecution, war, and violence. The Art & Justice League will use $5,000 to provide after school art programs of Hope:
+ 6 to 8 weeks of after school arts programming
+ Art supplies
+ Stipends for Artists & Administration
+ Food
+ Materials for a Final Art Project of HOPE, decided on by kids for their community.
