Overview of Idea

The Art Cart is a mobile, bicycle pulled art classroom that will be able provide fundamental skills in painting, sculpture, music and poetry in areas that need it most. SAGE Coalition is a group of artists, engineers and fabricators that will build and operate this cart in Trenton, New Jersey.

The Specifics: What will the $5,000 fund?

Making something that you can be proud of and gaining new and valuable skills should be any everyday experience. You don’t have to look too hard to find a canvas which is why we will recognize and inspire ways to creatively employ local materials. The added benefit of a bikeable platform is to get youth active and inspired by positive pedal powered actions.

This will be art for the people by the people, on your street or wherever we meet.

Breakdown:
$2,500-Cart materials and construction
$1,500- Art supplies and materials
$1,000- Stipend for guest artists and art cart interns

SAGE Coalition is a young non-profit in Trenton, New Jersey dedicated to bringing hope and peace to the capitol city and beyond through art and music.
