Overview of Idea

ACOP is all about Love, Music, Peace, & Helping Kids through Art in Miami. Providing disadvantaged children with instruments, free music lessons, and positive role models daily, our vision caters as much to the children’s artistic development as it does to the idea of music as a tool for peace and social change. By promoting music culture we are creating a variety of ethnically enriched communities in order to include and embrace all the people of Miami.

The Specifics: What will the $5,000 fund?

This year The Children’s Trust reduced $120,000 of ACOP’s funding. Due to this cut in our budget and lack of additional funding, many of our music programs have been closed. We have reduced the numbers of instructors and classes offered.

We are hoping that this grant will help us to cover the direly needed funds needed for our programs, such as, programs supplies, music paper, toner, certificates and awards, instruments, instrument repairs, etc.
